Nicky could close the world championship year for 2008 with good results.
The start of the 1st heat was not great and in the firtst round Nicky past as 14th
During the heat Nicky won a few places unfortunately she got involved in a fall from someone and lost a place, finished 10th.
The start of the second heat was very good at the gate only Nicky unfortunately could not compete against the 4 stroke for her.
After a few turns she could pass Veenstra and Nicky fought through the first round.
Back in the woods Nicky could even pass the American Ashley Fiolek and Swedish Elin Mann. Fiolek passed Nicky back and it was a fierce battle around place 3,4,5,6 and 7. Marielle de Mol could pass Nicky and came in 4th place with Nicky on 5.
